The Best Diet For Modelling

healthy diets,
The shapes of fashion models have changed over the years. In the 60s Twiggy was the iconic model with her twig like figure and girls nation wide tried to emulate this child like shape. However the 90s saw the birth of the supermodel with the likes of Naomi Campbell, Cindy Crawford and Christie Turlington gracing the catwalk. These models were curvier and womanlier.

The naughties saw a change again with waif like chic hitting the runway and size zero models like Kate Moss taking over the fashion world. This caused great controversy as many young girls were influenced by such skinny looking models and tried to starve themselves into a size zero shape.

Today thankfully fashion is changing again, with some, not all, designers embracing curves and welcoming curvier plus size models onto their catwalks. There is a still a long way to go but society embraces natural beauty and it is OK not to be super skinny.

What you eat and drink is very important for everyone, especially a model who will be chosen because of how he or she looks. You must take care of your body, skin, hair and mind. There is no use starving yourself to get to a size you think you should be. Yes, you need to look good and stay in shape but there is healthy way to do this and this involves exercise and eating and drinking the right kind of food. Water is ideal for any model as it helps keep your skin looking young and does wonders for your hair and body. Eating fresh fruit and vegetables as well as protein and fibre is also very good.

Many models are always on the go, which means they do not have the time to focus on the right things to eat. Stopping fast food will dramatically improve your skin, and overall health and fitness by boosting your nutrition levels. These foods are filled with chemicals designed to make your brain think you are eating tasty good food, when in fact it is the cheapest lowest quality food you can buy.

Fad diets and starvation are to be avoided at all costs because as soon as you start eating normally again your body will retain any fat and you will put weight on twice as quickly. In addition you could seriously damage your body. If you learn to cook you will gain a greater appreciation for the food you eat and you will be on your way to having the perfect model diet for you.
